You don’t have to be a Fremantle resident to participate in Totally Lit.
Totally Lit is currently inviting Expressions of Interest from writers of all genres, oral storytellers, spoken word artists and performers, event coordinators and publishers who would like to participate in Totally Lit 2026.
HOW TO APPLY

Please be aware that we cannot guarantee your event will be selected for inclusion in the program as we are committed to ensuring that all festival events are presented in suitable venues, have all necessary/appropriate technical support and are given the strongest opportunity to reach enthusiastic audiences. Your EOI will therefore be considered in relation to factors such as venue(s), scheduling, target audiences, and overall scope of the festival program.
COST OF PARTICIPATION
If your event is selected for inclusion in the program, a participation fee will be charged as a contribution towards marketing and admin support for your event. Fees are as follows:
For ticketed events: TL Festival will retain 10% of net ticket sales.
For free events: A flat fee of $60.00 will be payable to the TL Festival on confirmation of your event and prior to your event being listed on the festival website.
TICKETING
All event bookings and ticket sales will be managed by the TL Festival through the Humanitix website.
Please refer to Key Dates below for information regarding event copy and images.
TL Festival will provide artists with regular updates regarding their event bookings in the lead up to the festival.
Ticket revenue will be released to the artist following the completion of the festival.
MARKETING
If selected, your event will be promoted via the TL 26 festival website.
We will support you with social media posts and include your event in pitches to media.
We will provide you with TL branding and assets to support your own marketing efforts – you know your work best and promoting within your own networks will be essential to ensuring strong audiences.
PRODUCTION AND F.O.H. SUPPORT
We will liaise with you regarding technical production and where possible will support your event with equipment and/or technical crew. Support will be determined/agreed through individual consultation/negotiation and is not a given.
Also, please be aware that we are a small team and our FOH crew is made up primarily of volunteers.
KEY DATES:
EOI Deadline: 5pm Monday 15 June
Artists notified by no later than: 13 July
Marketing materials (images and artist bios) to be supplied by no later than: 31 July
