All Spice!

At Totally Lit we’re not just sharing stories, we’re commissioning them too!

In the early days of the Swan River Colony the Port of Fremantle was the gateway to the Asian spice trade, regularly welcoming East India Trading Company ships such as the brig, Emily Taylor.

Inspired by this important and resonant piece of Fremantle history, Totally Lit has commissioned a ‘spicy little story’ from resident flash fiction writer, Belinda Rowe.

From 1 September onwards (to the end of the festival) Belinda’s story will be our gift to you. Spice up your reading at Republic of Fremantle, Strange Company or wherever Totally Lit’s signature cocktail the Freo Livre, is sold
